- Applications
- Western Blot (Tissue lysate)
- The IKBKG (phospho S31) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB0492) is used in Western blot to detect Phospho-IKBKG-S31 in mouse cerebellum tissue lysate.
- Western Blot (Cell lysate)
- IKBKG (phospho S31) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB0492). Western blot analysis of IKBKG expression in Jurkat.

- Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
- Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue reacted with IKBKG (phospho S31) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB0492) which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. HC = hepatocarcinoma.

- Gene Name:
- IKBKG
- Gene Alias:

- Gene Description:
- inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, kinase gamma
- Gene Ontology:
- Hyperlink
- Gene Summary:
- This gene encodes the regulatory subunit of the inhibitor of kappaB kinase (IKK) complex, which activates NF-kappaB resulting in activation of genes involved in inflammation, immunity, cell survival, and other pathways. Mutations in this gene result in incontinentia pigmenti, hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, and several other types of immunodeficiencies. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. A pseudogene highly similar to this locus is located in an adjacent region of the X chromosome.
