[ RELEVANCE ]
Ferritin is a ubiquitous intracellular protein that stores iron and releases it inacontrolled fashion. The amount of ferritin stored reflects the amount of iron stored.The protein is produced by almost all living organisms. Ferritin is a protein of 450kDa consisting of 24 subunits that is present in every cell type. Ferritin genes arehighly conserved between species. All vertebrate ferritin genes have threeintrons and four exons. Ferritin serves to store iron in a non-toxic form, to depositit in a safe form, and to transport it to areas where it is required.
[ ANTIBODY SPECIFITY ]
The antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against ferritin. It has been
selected for its ability to recognize ferritin in immunohistochemical staining and
western blotting.

Form & Buffer: Supplied as solution form in PBS, pH7.4, containing 0.02% NaN3, 50% glycerol.
[ QUALITY CONTROL ]
Content: The quality control contains recombinant ferritin (Asp159~Lys258)
disposed in loading buffer.
Usage: 10uL per well when 3,3'-Diaminobenzidine(DAB) as the substrate.
5uL pe r well when used in enhan ced chemilumes cent (ECL ).
Note: The quality control is specifically manufactured as the positive control.
Not used for other purposes.
Loading Buffer: 100mM Tris(pH8.8), 2% SDS, 200mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, BPB 0.01%, NaN3 0.02%.
[ STORAGE ]
Store at 4oC for frequent use. Stored at -20oC to -80oC in a manual defrost freezer
for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
