NMD3 is an adaptor for 60S subunit export via the CRM1 (XPO1; MIM 602559) pathway (Trotta et al., 2003 [PubMed 12773398]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008] Function: Acts as an adapter for the XPO1/CRM1-mediated export of the 60S ribosomal subunit. Subunit: Shuttles between the nucleus/nucleolus and the cytoplasm in a XPO1/CRM1-dependent manner. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus, nucleoplasm. Nucleus, nucleolus.
